O Battery, The Rocket Troop.
This painting caused a bit of a stir.
This painting was painted in acylics, on stretched canvas. The size is 20 x 30". My husband used to be in The Rocket Troop, and as it was his reunion recently, which he missed. I felt bad for him, so I painted this painting to say sorry he couldn`t make it this year. He was over the moon with it, and he posted it on facebook for his army mates to see. Since then he has been inundated with comments and queries about the painting, and if we do prints etc. One friend even got this image tattooed on his arm, now that is praise indeed. The second picture is a painting of The Rocket Troop battery flag, I laid a poppy on top to remember those that gave their life. At the reunion last year, I donated the original flag picture, and a framed print of the gun. my intention was for them to be included in the raffle prizes, but the organizer thought that they could make more money by auctioning them off. The pictures made almost £300, not bad in place of a raffle ticket. I`m currently considering what to paint for this years reunion. This is the tattoo that Colin Mullin had, based on my painting.
